Hit Me Baby One More Time!

I thought it couldn't get any worse. NOPE I was wrong. My sister in law is pregnant with her second. Yep, my nephew just turned one. My brother is 4 years younger. They will have their family completed by the time they are 30. I am happy for them but whatever for me.

My mom actually is the one who gave me the heads up. I was shocked. She actually called to freak out about it. She just can't believe they would want children that close together. I told her I was expecting it. She told me to act surprised when they tell me.

Grumps comment was, "Wow they sure don't have a problem getting pregnant."

Nope they don't. I didn't freak out. I did cry all throughout Brothers and Sisters. It helped.

Of course my selfish comment to Grumps was, "Why couldn't they have just waited a little bit?" HA!

Maybe my mom will get pregnant next. She would at least give me her baby!

My husband's niece did the same thing. She knows about our troubles as well and not only that it was her baby shower I could not attend b/c I was having m/c #2. It doesn't stop them from moving on with their families, probably b/c they don't want to end up finding out there was a problem, which is what happened in our case.

We tell couples all the time. Don't wait to start. Don't wait to add. We are an example of what happens when you do.

I know it sucks and it hurts, but they will end up with their own troubles that you will be able to provide strength for. I just hope they are providing some for you now.

Wow, that does suck! My sister got pregnant with #4 while we were still trying for #1. I think they tried for a month. It really stings, like the biggest slap in the face, but it's not something they do to hurt us. It's just that we can't help but feel slighted when it happens so easily for others. Unfortunately, they will never understand that. Hopefully your sis-in-law and brother will be tactful in their announcement to you and understand that you may need some time to recover from the news.

I too had a good chuckle over the comment about your mom. I love that you are able to keep your sense of humor through the rough times! ;)

Ick.

I hate that kind of news. I completely understand...when I see my husband's ex-wife and her swelling belly -- sometimes it is frankly more than I can bear.

Ugh! I remember well when I found that my SIL was pregnant with her 2nd . . . it was the day before my 2nd (failed) IUI. And then she delivered the month after my miscarriage. So, I feel for you. There is just no way for it to be easy. At least you can hope that they have difficult and spoiled children! Works for me . . ..

That sucks, I'm sorry:(

If my mom got pregnant instead of me, though, I'd prob shoot myself!:) Ok, that'd be extreme, but I'd at least lock myself up in the closet for a few wks.

Oh girl I can relate. I fully expect my mother (who might or might not be pre-menopausal) or my 23 year old sister -- both unmarried -- to turn up pregnant one of these days. Everyone else flipping has!! GAHH! So sorry. Why don't people THINK before they talk??

Ugh. I know that sucker punch sensation. It's so hard when it feels like everyone else laps us with one pregnancy after another...

Uggghhh.. how close by do they live? Can you avoid them for a few years? So sorry.

Oh I'm so sorry, I know exactly how hard that is. I like Monica's idea -- avoidance can be a great tool! Take care.

I don't know why (at least for me, anyway) it seems to hurt so much more when it's family.
